Data Warehouse Modernization Specialist - Assessment & Planning
About the Project
We're currently operating a homegrown data warehouse supporting our reporting infrastructure. We need an experienced data architect to assess our current state, identify gaps, and create a roadmap to migrate toward more out-of-box configurations using modern cloud data platforms and support our current architect who has been going it alone for a long time.
Scope of Work
Phase 1: Current State Assessment (2-3 weeks)
• Document existing data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and integration patterns
• Inventory all data sources, connectors, transformations, and dependencies
• Identify custom-built components vs. platform-native functionality
• Assess data quality, performance bottlenecks, and technical debt
• Review API integrations between data warehouse and 3rd party software
Phase 2: Gap Analysis & Roadmap (1-2 weeks)
