Unit Summary

The Data Management Team supports the McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH) most particularly the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Special Care Nursery, the Pediatric Critical Care Unit and newborns who received care at HHS. The Data Management Team is a small team of professionals that support MCH needs for collecting, storing, reporting, and benchmarking locally, provincially, nationally and internationally. 

Position Summary

The Critical Care Data Assistant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity and security of many databases, including a series of large, complex, computerized records systems. These databases include: the Canadian Neonatal Network, the Niday Database, the Canadian Perinatal Surgery Network, the Pediatric Intensive Care Evaluations Project, the Vermont Oxford Network and other local databases including local monitoring of Newborn Screening.
