POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support for duplicate Medical Records and merges, coordinates medical record findings and requests related to amendments and corrections. Assists with medical record audits, statistical analysis in the area of quality compliance reviews. Responsibilities include utilization of Medical Records database systems for the identification of appropriate documentation in EMR formats and distributing records or data as necessary. Assists in development and training of internal and external departmental staff. Corresponds with University partners and vendors to resolve identification discrepancies and make appropriate chart corrections. Works with management to implement projects and activities to attain short and long-term goals established by the department.
