Job Summary:
The Data Governance Manager is accountable for designing, scaling and institutionalizing enterprise data governance across SM Retail's multi-platform, cross-BU environment.
The role acts as de facto operational and managerial head of data governance, translating strategy into sustained enterprise behavior.
Responsibilities:
Governance Framework Execution
Operationalize the enterprise data governance framework approved by the Chief Data Officer
Maintain governance artifacts including policies, standards, procedures and guidelines
Support rollout of governance operating model across BU's
Data Ownership & Stewardship Enablement
Support identification and onboarding of Data Owners and Data Stewards across domains (customer, product, sales, merchandising, etc)
Clarify roles, responsibilities and decision rights related to data
Data Quality Management
Support definition of data quality rules, thresholds and issue management processes
