Data Engineer - Hybrid, Sandton, 6 Month Contract

Join as a Data Engineer to drive loyalty and rewards through data profiling, ETL, and robust pipelines enabling analytics, ML, and AI. Build scalable infrastructure with DB2, PostgreSQL, Azure, and more, automate processes, and ensure data quality for a data-driven organization.

Requirements

  • Expertise in data governance, ETL, and performance optimisation.
  • NQF Level 6 in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Advanced SQL, Python, Java, and database skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, IBM DB2).
  • Proficiency in data pipelines and ETL tools (e.g., Ab Initio, Azure Data Factory, SAS ETL).
  • Knowledge of cloud data engineering, preferably AWS.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Cloud (AWS), DevOps, or Data Engineering certifications.
  • Data Science certifications (e.g., from Coursera, Udemy, SAS, ...
