Role: Data Engineer
Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg (Hybrid – 2-3 days at client site)
Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)
Key Requirements:
7-10 years of experience translating business & functional requirements
Strong Data Modelling / Data Warehousing experience
Hands-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) pipelines
Proficiency in:
• SSIS
• SSDT
• Power BI
• MS SQL
Understanding of data quality issues & reconciliation frameworks
Performance optimization / code reverse engineering experience
Knowledge of DevOps setup for deployments (or strong conceptual understanding)
Optional (Nice to Have):
• Python
• Azure Cloud experience
• Azure Data Engineering tools such as ADF, Synapse Analytics Studio, Azure Fabric
• Azure Cloud Data Engineering Certification
