Role Overview

The L2 Planning Engineer is responsible for detailed network planning, scalable design, and development of standardized configuration templates for Cisco Nexus and ACI–based TELCO Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform capacity and scale planning for DC fabrics (ports, uplinks, spines).
• Design ACI tenant segmentation, VRF, BD, and EPG models from a planning perspective.
• Prepare HLDs, LLDs, BoQs, and expansion MOPs.
• Design, standardize, and validate device-level and fabric-level configuration templates for Cisco Nexus (NX-OS) and ACI.
• Use Python scripting to support template generation, validation, and reuse.
• Plan inter-DC connectivity, redundancy, and resiliency models.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on hardware and fabric planning.
