Crop Farm Worker

Matt's Patch is a family farm business based in the Northern Territory growing and producing tropical fruits such as Papaya, Banana, and Passionfruit, Asian Veg and herbs. We supply local and interstate fruit distributors all year.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine tasks in planting and producing crops, fruits, and vegetables

Preparation of soil for planting crops and seedlings

Operate farm machines and equipment for cultivating and spraying fruit and vegetables

Proper use of chemicals to control the growth of weeds and harmful insects

Maintenance of irrigation water supply system for crop growth

Selecting, picking, and discarding fruit and vegetables according to quality control

Grade, sort, bunch, and pack produce into containers and load onto trucks

Build trellises for climbing vegetables and vines

Maintain crops, fruits, and vegetables by weeding and pruning

Other duties as directed on the property...
