Our client in Pemba is looking for Crane Operator to join their team for a job vacancy within the Oil & Gas Sector.


Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations.

  • Communicate with assign crew to determine the best placement of the crane for planned lifts.

  • Participate in rigging procedure when required.

  • Participate in safety / toolbox meetings.

  • Ensure awareness of all site conditions that could affect crane operation (e.g., overhead power lines, workers, mobile equipment, pedestrians etc.)

  • Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.

  • Inspect cables or grapple devices for wear and installing or replacing cables.

  • Calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
