Counselor, Perrella Counseling Center

Description

: The Counselor is responsible for conducting psychotherapy, crisis management, educational programming, and referral to community agencies as needed. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment.

Responsibilities:

Provide assessment, individual and potentially group therapy as well as treatment planning to a diverse student population

Provide crisis intervention services during regularly scheduled work hours, serving as a primary responder for student mental health crises when on campus.

Maintain confidential files of students, completing paperwork in a timely manner according to state laws and ethics

Participate in weekly supervision or case consultation groups based on licensure status.

When needed, provide training for Area Coordinators, Peer Counselors, Campus Safety, Resident Advisors,

Faculty, Staff and others Serve on various committees, attend meetings and collaborate with other departments on campus
