Description

: The Counselor is responsible for conducting psychotherapy, crisis management, educational programming, and referral to community agencies as needed. This is a full-time, 10-month appointment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, individual and potentially group therapy as well as treatment planning to a diverse student population
  • Provide crisis intervention services during regularly scheduled work hours, serving as a primary responder for student mental health crises when on campus.
  • Maintain confidential files of students, completing paperwork in a timely manner according to state laws and ethics
  • Participate in weekly supervision or case consultation groups based on licensure status.
  • When needed, provide training for Area Coordinators, Peer Counselors, Campus Safety, Resident Advisors,
