Job Title: Costing Engineer (Sheet Metal & CNC Machining)

Department: Business Development / Engineering
Reports To: Costing Manager / Business Development Manager / Engineering Manager

Job Summary

The Costing Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimations and quotations for sheet metal, machining, assembly, and robotic/automation equipment projects. The role requires analyzing engineering drawings, materials, processes, and labor requirements to ensure competitive and profitable pricing for customer RFQs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Calculate cost of materials, machining, sheet metal, surface treatment, assembly, testing, and logistics.
  • Develop cost breakdowns covering direct labor, machine time, tooling, jigs/fixtures, and overhead allocation.
