Cost Estimator [14268]

On behalf of our client, a heavy industrial manufacturer specializing in machining and fabrication, we are recruiting a Fabrication Cost Estimator .

Responsibilities

• Review Request for Quote information to determine fabrication and machining processes and items to be quoted
• During the quoting phase on new projects, coordinate with the operations team
• Cycle time / time studies analysis (machine and operator)
• Product sequence of operations sheets (flow charts)
• System or process zone layouts
• Technical descriptions of fabrication and machining stations
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates based on format provided for customer submission
• Develop and maintain a production fabrication and machining cost estimating database, including labour hours as well as working closely with purchasing to align costs for purchased components to ensure costs reflect the current available prices in the ...
