General Responsibilities
- Leads close activities for the company to accurately report results within the closing cycle
- Prepare, reconcile, and report on relevant cost accounting close activities
- Handles journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, records, and reporting
- Support internal stakeholders to make effective business decisions
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Reviews and documents costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
- Leads and completes internal cost audits
- Reviews and documents inventory and material purchases
- Accurately records and updates existing and new purchased materials and goods
