JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for the end-to-end financial integrity of the restaurant's operations. This includes rigorous food and beverage cost control, inventory management, statutory tax compliance (VAT/Catering Levy), and full-cycle accounting from petty cash to final financial statements
.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Work with the Head Chef to establish standard portion sizes to ensure consistency and prevent over-scooping which drains margins.
b) Calculate the landed cost of every ingredient and generate accurate reports.
c) Conduct regular tests on ingredient yields to update true costs and minimize production loss.
d) Monitor and report on daily kitchen wastage sheets to identify patterns and reduce loss.
e) Provide management with a daily summary of the Food Cost Percentage (Target vs. Actual).
