Corporate Accountant

Professional Staffing has partnered with a well-established organization in Edmonton to find a Corporate Accountant. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, including month-end processes, up to the Preparation of Financial Statements.

This role is a 1 year contract on site in South Edmonton.

Responsibilities

• Month end close - supporting the Controller,
• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Project-related financial transactions are correctly recorded during the monthly close, including proper revenue recognition, cost allocations, and WIP (unbilled revenue) adjustments.
• Prepares monthly journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, allocations, and adjustments
• Assists in cash monitoring, maintaining cash forecasting and analyzing cash needs
• Recurring reporting such as budgeting, and forecasting
