Job Description
Reporting to the Receiving Kitchen Nutrition Services Supervisor, the Cook maintains a sanitary kitchen and prepares food according to standards set out in the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and Regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare food at the receiving kitchen of a long term care home according to standardized recipe, to ensure food quality, safety and quantity. Review incoming food for order completeness and for damage. Check ingredient quality and amounts in a recipe prior to preparation and prepares and handles food following stringent food safety practices. Co-ordinate with other team members to ensure that all products are produced and sorted in a timely manner as per the receiving kitchen production sheets.
