Remote / very hybrid role available in Morris County, NJ! An established, well-funded nonprofit organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to partner with the CFO and oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, close, internal controls, and annual audit preparation. The Controller will play a central role in restructuring and modernizing the accounting function, developing SOPs, improving processes, and strengthening accountability across the team. The ideal candidate will bring strong GAAP knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in an environment where processes are still being formalized. Nonprofit, fund accounting, and grant management experience are desirable. Experience working on the SGA platform is preferred.
