Overview

The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. The Control Systems section develops core software, APIs, and building blocks that enable reliable and robust control systems for advanced research facilities. This role is part of the Integration & Support – Photon Science group.

Responsibilities

• Integrate diverse hardware and software components of SwissFEL and SLS beamlines into the EPICS control system and ensure reliable operation and maintenance.
• Provide first‑level control system support to selected groups within the Center for Photon Science.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute control system integration activities with various stakeholders (beamline scientists, expert groups, project managers, and colleagues within the Control Systems Section).
