IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state‑of‑the‑art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Risk Management
  • Mining Engineering Degree / Diploma (advantageous)
  • COMSOC 1 and 2, SAMTRAC, Incident Investigation and Risk Assessment training (certification advantageous)

Experience

  • 3–5 years mining or contractor management experience
  • Experience dealing with regulatory inspections
  • Experience in mining administration
  • SHE documentation control
