Contract Administrator – Construction (Ottawa, Ontario)

GFT is seeking a Contract Administrator to fill a position within our Construction Services Group in Ottawa. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Ottawa office.

What You Will Do

  • Perform Contract Administration duties throughout all phases of construction and rehabilitation ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
  • Act as the owner’s representative during construction with assistance from design engineers and field inspectors.
  • Prepare monthly progress payment certificates and issue Change Orders.
  • Review contractor submissions including traffic control plans, shop drawings, schedule, paving and concrete pour plans, and watermain commissioning plan.
  • Coordinate with material testing firm to ensure all mix designs and specified materials are approved in advance of construction.
