Construction Worker

Construction workers perform physical labor to build and maintain structures, and ensure safety on construction sites. They work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, public works, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites: Clear debris, set up materials, and create trenches
• Operate machinery: Use diggers, concrete mixers, jackhammers, and drills
• Load and unload materials: Move construction materials, tools, and supplies
• Perform physical labor: Dig, lift, carry, and mix materials
• Install structures: Assemble scaffolding, bridges, and barricades
• Install systems: Help install plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Follow safety guidelines: Ensure all work is done safely
• Maintain equipment: Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Assist other workers: Help carpenters, electricians, joiners, and roofers
