Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager (Terrace or Prince Rupert)

Are you an experienced materials testing technician with experience in lab operations? We are hiring a Laboratory Manager to be part of the management team and to lead a team of technicians in Terrace or Prince Rupert, BC. There will be regular travel between both offices.

What the Manager will be doing

• Manage staff and resources to perform laboratory testing on concrete, aggregates, soils and asphalt
• Responsible to ensure operation of the laboratory is running efficiently, while maintaining the high level of accuracy to our clients' expectations
• Maintain laboratory CCIL certifications
• Perform quality control reviews of laboratory staff and test results
• Review final reports
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
• Mentoring new and junior technicians
• Assist with writing proposals
• Provide consulting services to our clients
