**Job Description**
The Construction Technician supports power line construction projects by installing, moving, and removing crane mats to ensure safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment through wetlands and woodlands. This role is hands-on, field-based, and requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards and clear communication with equipment operators and crew members.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, position, and move large crane mats (approximately 15 feet long and 8 feet wide) to support skid steers, drilling rigs, and other heavy equipment.
+ Work along a multi-mile power line construction corridor, setting crane mats at multiple locations, then returning to remove and reposition mats as the project progresses.
