Job Description

Duties:

Conduct wildlife surveys, monitor camera traps, and record water quality data or environmental conditions.
Perform invasive species removal, native plant seeding, and physical infrastructure maintenance like electrified fences or erosion control barriers.
Keep field gear in working order, including GPS units, tracking devices, and off-road vehicles. Assist with rural landowner outreach, public education, or volunteer events.

Requirements:

A National Diploma in Nature Conservation (N.Dip. Nat. Con.) or a BSc in Conservation Ecology/Biology.
Adaptability to a remote location, ability to work independently, and a passion for hands-on conservation.
Valid First Aid certificate
Valid drivers license (PrDP), and proficiency in off-road driving and 4x4 operations.
Must be able to hike long distances, carry heavy equipment, and work in harsh weather.
