Job Description
The Conservation Ecologist provides applied ecological support within Yorke and Mid North Region to assist wide ranging national parks and wildlife management functions, using professional expertise to shape practical management decisions and solutions. The role requires a sound and broad understanding of applied ecology in a conservation and park management context, having a particular focus in supporting the delivery of nature conservation, wildlife and fire management programs on public land. The Conservation Ecologist evaluates and advises on environmental risks and opportunities and is responsible for coordinating regional advice on a range of matters including planning and development, mining, and native vegetation clearance and management across parks and Crown lands within the region.
