Commodities Manager

General Responsibilities

• Global sourcing of cost effective materials based on a TCO approach
• Work closely with Engineering to influence technical design decisions, meet custom product requirements, and reach business objectives
• Manages the Approved Vendors List (AVL) and drives regular supplier business review for continuous improvement in supplier performance such as cost, quality, supply/capacity, technology, service, environment and ethics
• Maintains knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements
• Complete complex contractual negotiations of agreements and legal; including commercial terms and conditions
• Develop commodity sourcing strategies, commodity and technology roadmaps
• Proficient with analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier risk management and formal supplier selection)
