Job Description
The Commissary Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in bulk according to standardized recipes and production schedules. The role ensures food quality, safety, consistency, and timely distribution to designated outlets, branches, or departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items in large quantities following approved recipes and portion standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food products.
- Follow daily production schedules and coordinate with the Kitchen Supervisor or Head Chef.
- Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries of raw materials.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items (FIFO method).
