  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix fresh fruits and vegetables and other ingredients
  • Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
  • Operate kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food doneness
  • Set up and break down workstations; serve food in proper portions and receptacles
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, equipment, and ensure temperature accuracy of appliances
  • Follow safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any unsafe conditions
  • Maintain professional appearance and protect company assets
  • Communicate professionally and collaborate with team members
