Job Description
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix fresh fruits and vegetables and other ingredients
- Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
- Operate kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food doneness
- Set up and break down workstations; serve food in proper portions and receptacles
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, equipment, and ensure temperature accuracy of appliances
- Follow safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any unsafe conditions
- Maintain professional appearance and protect company assets
- Communicate professionally and collaborate with team members
