Job Description
Functions:
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and endorsements for general commercial lines from inception through to policy issuance
- Perform full risk assessment and pricing in line with company guidelines and delegated authorities
- Manage broker relationships and handle queries timeously and professionally
- Maintain accurate policy records and documentation throughout the policy lifecycle
- Liaise with claims teams up to (but not including) claims payment stage.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting standards.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of underwriting procedures.
- RE1, RE5 is required.
- Minimum 5 yearsâ commercial lines underwriting experience.
- Proven experience in a UMA, or similar environment where end-to-end underwriting is required.
