Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' Commercial Underwriting experience
- Proven experience underwriting Commercial Insurance products
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk exposure and underwrite within delegated mandates
- NQF Level 4: Short-Term Commercial Lines (60 Credits)
- RE5 Qualification (Level 1) completed
- Underwrite new commercial risks in line with company risk guidelines
- Manage and monitor broker portfolios to maintain acceptable loss ratios
- Ensure compliance with reinsurance treaties and internal underwriting mandates
- Handle policy amendments, renewals, and underwriting queries
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships
- Provide product guidance, training, and support to brokers
- Review and maintain policy wordings and product competitiveness
