Job Overview

Collections Driver – Hemel Hempstead Delivery Office, HP20 1AA. Permanent contract, 21.25 hours per week across 5 days Mon‑Sun, 14:25‑18:40. The role involves delivering collections, checking post‑boxes, visiting business customers, collecting mail, dropping it at processing centres and sorting mailbags to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items on route, including letters, parcels, election materials and regulated items.
• Check post‑boxes and transfer mail to processing centres.
• Visit post offices and business customers at pre‑arranged times to collect and deliver mail.
• Sort and manage mailbags, ensuring each piece reaches the correct destination on time.
• Maintain safe driving and adherence to Royal Mail business standards.
