COBOL Mainframe

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications to support business requirements.

• Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.

• Develop and modify programs using COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, and VSAM.

• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure system stability and performance.

• Participate in system testing, functional testing, and validation activities.

• Support batch processing, job scheduling, and system integrations within the mainframe environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and production support teams.
