Co-op Researcher - Machine Learning and Computer Vision

Huawei Canada has an immediate 8-16-month Co-op opening for a Researcher role.

About the job

• Research and develop state-of-the-art technology in computer vision and machine learning.
• Work on various video / image understanding and synthesis tasks in using cutting-edge deep learning and computer vision techniques.
• Take into consideration of the mobile computing constraints for the of algorithms and machine learning models.

Qualifications

• Experience with applying machine learning or computer vision to real-world problems.
• Able to grasp basic Computer Vision concepts and techniques.
• Coding in Python, PyTorch / TensorFlow (at least one)
• OpenCV, mobile app development, photo editing (e.g., Photoshop), image/video generation AI (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Flux) is an asset
• Academic research experience for example, participation in paper publishing is an asset
