Overview

The CNC Programmer will generate 3 D and 2 D geometries to create NC programs capable of producing parts according to blueprint requirements. This includes cycle time optimization for existing parts, selecting cutting tools, calculating speeds and feeds, and generating the manufacturing dossier package (setup cards, NC program and work instructions).

Primary Responsibilities Development of 3 D and 2 D geometries according to blueprint. Development of NC Programs for lathes and mills. Definition of cutting tools and geometries (including modeling of tool holders, inserts, drills, etc.). NC equipment utilization. Administration and control of NC Programs using a DNC system. Comply with QMS and Trade Compliance for technical data; keep records of changes and revisions, traceability. Creation of manufacturing instructions / dossier. Use of Mastercam for NC programming.
