POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible to safely and efficiently produce machined parts by means of programming, using Mastercam, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

An Operator’s core objective is to ensure CNC machines are properly utilized through optimizing programs and daily production runs using the approved design and engineering.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Plan machines by carefully studying work orders, drawings and other technical data.
• Feed mechanism to be loaded by lifting stock into position.
• Verify the settings by measuring positions, first‑run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to standards.
