Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cloud Engineer reports to the Executive Director, Information Technology Services ＆ Support at the District Office. The work schedule is 12 months per year; 40 hours per week; Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This position is represented by CSEA (California School Employees Association), Chapter 363.

POSITION PURPOSE

Reporting to Executive Director, ITSS or an assigned administrator, the Cloud Engineer is responsible for leading cloud migration initiatives and maintaining the District’s cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer performs advanced senior technical duties as a professional staff member for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing management of the District’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure platforms.
