Clinical Support Midwife

NHW have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Midwife to fill the role of Clinical Support Midwife.

The Clinical Support role is responsible to provide safe, structured learning opportunities within the clinical environment to professional entry medical students, with a focus on basic history-taking, physical examination and procedural skills.

The appointee will work closely with the Clinical Educator – Clinical Skills and the Clinical Educator – Simulation to provide students with the opportunity to practice physical examination and procedural skill in the simulated environment as required. The CSM - CEF role has a close liaison role with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Support team and other clinical staff in the health service to coordinate activities for optimal learning in an interprofessional environment.
