Detailed Overview

In accordance with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC standards of practice, Fraser Health mission, values and speech language pathology acute care standard, and working collaboratively and in partnership with the Clinical Practice Leader, clinical leaders, stakeholders, and the interprofessional care team in the provision of patient and family centered care, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of speech language pathology activities and staff for the assigned section. Monitors workload, prepares and adjusts work assignments, ensures staff training objectives are attained, and acts as a clinical resource. In collaboration with the Clinical Practice Leader, assists with budget planning and monitoring, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, providing input into service goals and objectives, and maintaining quality and safety standards for the assigned section.
