Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver essential clinical pharmacy services within a 200+ bed community hospital setting in Alexandria, LA. This role focuses on providing expert medication management, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The position is a contract assignment lasting 13 weeks with an ASAP start.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and safety standards
- Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
- Applying pharmacokinetic principles to guide dosage adjustments
- Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication dispensing and patient record management
