Clinical Pharmacist

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a pharmacist, who acts within their professional boundaries, supporting and working alongside a team of pharmacists and technicians in general practice. In this role they will be supported daily by a clinical team that includes an advanced clinical practitioner pharmacist. There is a clinical lead who will develop, manage and mentor them. The post holder will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team in a patient‑facing role and will be a prescriber.

The role is predominantly about prescription management, medication reviews, building relationships with stakeholders and implementing safe and effective working practices. There will also be the opportunity to mentor and develop less experienced colleagues.
