Job Overview

CLINICAL CODING DELIVERY MANAGER – responsible for the day‑to‑day management of clinical coding staff and ensuring accurate, timely coding for NHS England ATLAS system, supporting payment by results across Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The role offers fully remote working with the option to work across Trust sites.

Main Duties

• Manage the operational delivery section of the clinical coding team, maintaining effectiveness and a high standard of work.
• Oversee day‑to‑day processes that support operational delivery, including management of Teams channels, review of rotas, and other related tasks.
• Extract and analyse highly complex patient data from clinical records to identify appropriate diagnoses and procedures in line with current national guidelines, applying judgement where necessary to ensure accuracy.
