Job Description

Your RoleOur Global Finance team is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Client Accountant who will be responsible for the full spectrum of technical accounting for the Life/Health business to work in our Shanghai office.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Review reinsurance cessions, losses and statements of accounts to ensure its compliance with contractual terms
  • Monitor reinsurance cessions and ensure large cessions are registered in the reinsurance accounting system
  • Register premiums, commissions and losses in the system
  • Respond to clients’ queries on all accounting matters
  • Manage receivables effectively to prevent overdue balances
  • Prepare statutory reports and respond to regulators’ and auditors’ queries
  • Automate existing processes which may include the use of MS Excel and other programming tools in checking of accounts
  • Participatein international initiatives and projects ( IFRS17)
