Class 2 HIAB Driver
About the role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic HGV 2 Class 2 HIAB Driver for a large well-known timber merchant to deliver to business and residential customers in and around the North West.
Location
South Manchester
Work Pattern
Full time, Monday – Friday (expected minimum 40 hours per week)
Salary
£19.05 per hour (includes holiday pay; alternatively, £17.00 ph with accrued holiday pay). Overtime is paid weekly via PAYE.
Responsibilities
- Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
- 5‑6 drops per day, using HIAB lorry loader
- Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
- Maintaining regular contact with branch managers on daily progress
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
