Civil Mining Engineer - Independent Contractor

EXP Mining is seeking an experienced Civil Mining Engineer to work independently as a contractor in St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or North Bay, ON. The role supports our fast‑paced Mining group and focuses on site assessment, design, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Inspect new and existing mining sites to determine optimal extraction methods.
• Visit sites in person and use maps and geological data to estimate material reserves.
• Provide mining engineering and design services for underground mine studies, including scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and NI 43‑101 technical reports.
• Coordinate mining engineering projects with the mining team and other engineering disciplines (electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural).
