Civil Materials Laboratory Cadet or Technician – Gisborne Laboratory

Our laboratories play a vital role in supporting Aotearoa’s infrastructure by testing a wide range of civil engineering materials – including aggregates, soils, concrete, and bitumen. This work helps ensure quality, safety, and performance for projects across the manufacturing and construction sectors.

We’re looking for a motivated Cadet or Junior Technician to join our Gisborne Laboratory team. This is an entry-level opportunity, and no previous laboratory experience is required – we’ll provide full training. We’re seeking someone who is physically capable, enjoys hands‑on work, and has an interest in pursuing a career as a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician. You’ll also be comfortable with basic data entry and flexible to work occasional overtime when needed.
