Civil Engineering Technician

Purpose

Is responsibleforprovidingtechnical and engineering support in the field of infrastructure design and construction, projectmanagementand qualitycontrol.

Roles & Responsibilities

To provide engineeringexpertiseto the MCK organization.

• Writes technical reports, project proposals and conducts feasibility studies for Capital projects. Some research may be necessary to complete these reports.

• Analyzes and edits technical reports and feasibility studies. Analyzes, summarizes, and explains external reports from engineering consultants or other agencies. Identify the most cost-effective alternative from these reports.

• Carries out vertical control surveys for the transfer of reference benchmarks, road elevations, and water, sewer, and drainage pipe elevations.

• Executes horizontal surveys necessary for Capital construction projects.
