Job Description
We are looking for an experienced CICS System Programmer with strong hands-on expertise in CICS system programming on IBM z/OS environments. The role requires deep technical knowledge of CICS internals, configuration, installation, maintenance, and performance tuning. This is not an operations or monitoring role.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, customize, and upgrade IBM CICS Transaction Server on z/OS
- Perform CICS region setup and management, including AOR/FOR/TOR configurations
- Define and manage CICS resources using RDO / CSD / DFHCSDUP
- Administer and support CICSPlex SM environments
- Handle CICS-related SMP/E maintenance, PTFs, and version upgrades
- Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for CICS regions
- Diagnose and resolve CICS system-level issues, abends, dumps, and performance problems
