Job Tasks and Responsibilities

MTW’s Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) is currently seeking an experienced and driven Production Technician (Electrical) to join the team on a fulltime basis. Reporting to the CHPP Production Supervisor, will be to operate all areas of the CHPP in line with production schedules, on a 12hr rotating shift roster.



Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate and monitor the preparation plant to optimise production and quality at all times

  • Provide a timely response to operational and maintenance issues to ensure targets are met

  • Inspect and monitor coal processing

  • Complete allocated preventative maintenance tasks and inspections as assigned

  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including production and safety improvements
