Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Mental Health Lead, the Child & Youth Worker will:

• Provide support to individual students and staff through a self-regulation and problem-solving approach;
• Assist, Develop and participate in meeting the mental wellbeing, social, emotional and behavioral goals for students;
• Provide support in collaboration with students, teachers, parents and other school board support services;
• Participate in and facilitate school based team meetings to support the holistic development of the student;
• Attend and participate in meetings and liaise with community agencies as determined by needs of the student;
• Participate in quality training for addressing student wellbeing in the school board;
