Role Description

The Child and Youth Worker is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Stony Plain, AB. This role involves supervising visits between children and parents in a safe, supportive environment, ensuring that interactions are positive, respectful, and appropriate to the child’s developmental stage. The Child and Youth Worker will observe and document visits, identify risk factors or concerns, and provide guidance to caregivers on strategies that promote healthy attachment and consistent contact. Daily tasks include implementing visitation plans, de‑escalating conflict when necessary, collaborating with social workers and other professionals, and maintaining clear, accurate records. The role also includes communicating with families and community partners, contributing to program development, and supporting initiatives that foster resilience and emotional well‑being in children and youth.
